Bearings for Connecting Rods | |||
---|---|---|---|
DIA range | : | 30 MM to 120 MM | |
Description | : |
This bearing is subjected to excessive fatigue loading. The cyclic load of power stroke is borne by this bearing. To have more bearing capacity this bearing is generally not provided with any hole or groove. This is lubricated by splash lubrication. The typical bearing lining materials are copper-bronze, alluminium-tin & babbit-alloys. |

Bearings for Crankshaft | |||
DIA range | : | 30 MM to 120 MM | |
Description | : |
This bearing supports the crankshaft and bears the overall load generated by power stroke of all engine cylinders. These bearings are fed with the lubricating oil under pressure through hole and oil is distributed through the groove. While rotating the crank the oil forms the hydrodynamic pressure film on which the crankshaft floats. The typical bearing lining materials are copper-bronze, & alluminium-tin. The copper bronze lining is plated witha fine structured LTC overlay. |
|
Flanged Bearings | |||
DIA range | : | 55 MM to 100 MM | |
Description | : | These bearings are designed to take radial as well as axial load. The thrust face of these bearings are lined with bronze material. This particular type is a combination of plain bearing and thrust bearing. | |
Trimetal Bearings | |||
DIA range | : | 30 MM to 120 MM | |
Description | : | The main & connecting rod bearings having bronze lining material are typically plated with an overlay material. The overlay layer is thin enough that the high strenght of the internediate layer determines the ultimate bearing strength from a fatigue standpoin | |
Bearing Cast in Place | |||
DIA range | : | 25 MM to 60 MM | |
Description | : | For small refrigeration compressor the bearings are cast in the big end of aluminum connecting rod. | |
Truncated Bushes for Connecting Rods | |||
DIA range | : | 25 MM to 85 MM | |
Description | : | These bushes are generally used for connecting rods of heavy duty engines. The typical shape permits the strengthening of load area for pistons connecting rod assembly.. | |
Ball Indented Bush | |||
DIA range | : | 20 MM to 40 MM | |
Description | : | The ball indented area acts as a small reservoir of lubricant. These types of bushes are used for high speed petrol engines. | |
Thrust Washers | |||
DIA range | : | 40 MM to 120 MM | |
Description | : | These washers are used in the engine for taking the axial load coming on the crankshaft through gear train. The thrust face is lining with special bronze lining which provides for load bearing combined with built in lubricity. | |
Washers with Thrust Face Contours | |||
DIA range | : | 60 MM to 225 MM | |
Description | : | Special thrust face contours are provided in few typical application to provide for enhanced lubrication. | |
Ring Type Thrust Washers | |||
DIA range | : | 50 MM to 100 MM | |
Description | : | These type of thrust washers are generally used for single cylinder engines or in gear boxes to take axial thrust load. A locating tab is provided to avoid rotation in the housing. | |
Bushes for Connecting Rod S.E. | |||
DIA range | : | 20 MM to 85 MM | |
Description | : | This bush supports the piston & acts as a load carrying part in pistons & con rod assembly. The bush having bronze lining in ID is designed for carrying very high fatigue loads. |
